Dispatcher (Temp-to-Hire)

Location: Baltimore, Maryland

Schedule: 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM (Mandatory OT)

Pay: $24-$28/hr (DOE)

Work Arrangement: 100% on-site

Background Check: Required

A busy family-owned company, is seeking a reliable Dispatcher for a temp-to-hire role. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage a fast-paced workload, and experience coordinating technicians in the field.


Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule work requests, service appointments, and parts pick-ups.
  • Communicate continually with internal teams, technicians, and customers.
  • Dispatch and match technicians to appropriate jobs.
  • Manage and monitor daily service routes; ensure routes are efficient and logical.
  • Document all job details, updates, and communications.
  • Intake job information and schedule follow-ups for parts that are ordered.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Exercise sound judgment and independently problem-solve throughout the workday.
  • Maintain workflow continuity in a small, high-paced office environment.

Requirements

  • Prior dispatch experience required.
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to sit for long periods, work a long day, and stay focused with limited breaks.
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to perform under frequent time pressure.
  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Excellent judgment, analytical skills, and organizational/time-management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and support multiple managers.
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, and a strong team player.
  • Basic computer skills; willingness to learn Service Fusion (training provided 1:1).
